Sapporo Molecular Layered Carbon’s headquarters in Sapporo Japan has two main facilities, our production plant, where we produce large amounts of high quality and low cost graphene, and our research and development plant, where our processes are further refined and new product applications developed.
Our 2,000 square meter production facility contains our state of the art chemical vapor deposition manufacturing process, as well as all of our administration departments. Our target for graphene production for 2013 is 15 tons, with that expected to climb to 40 tons in 2014.
Our 500 square meter research and development facility is where our scientists refine our manufacturing process as well as investigating new products. It includes cutting edge scientific instruments used for characterizing materials, measuring thermal and electrical properties, a wide range of wet chemistry and dispersion capabilities, as well as a wide array of tools for investigating energy storage and conversion.
